Program for Advanced Manufacturing Showcase released

The event program and speakers list for the Advanced Manufacturing Showcase 2023, held by Deakin University’s Manufutures on May 5, has been released.

The day-long event at Waurn Ponds will begin with a welcome session, then hold four streams across sessions running 10 am – 11:30 am and another at 1:30 pm – 2:50 pm. The day will also include technology demonstrations by Guarda Systems and Deakin’s ASCEND solar car project.

Presenters will include Chris Bridges-Taylor from B&R Enclosures, Professor Nick Birbilis from Deakin University, state secretary for jobs Bronwyn Halfpenny, Jennifer Conley from the Geelong Manufacturing Council, Phillip Crothers from Boeing, and Richard Merjan from Hanwha Defense Australia.

The showcase is presented by ManuFutures, MEMKO Australia and Dassault Systèmes, with support from AMTIL, Bosch Australia, Hanwha Defense Australia, Geelong Manufacturing Council, Regional Partnerships Barwon, City of Greater Geelong and Farmers2Founders.
