Queen Beetle prepares to take to the water – video






Perth shipbuilder Austal has unveiled its latest ship – the 83 metre long passenger ferry Queen Beetle.

The launch is coming soon but the magnificent vessel has been unveiled after more than eighteen months of expert design and engineering, procurement, construction, project management, logistics and fitout works.

Skilfully completed by more than 200 Austal Australia employees including 31 apprentices, and supported by more than 1,100 people from 218 West Australian businesses and 10 contractors, the ship is being builty for JR Kyushu of Japan.
