Queensland industry shines in Covid fight






While manufacturers nationwide have rallied to fight Covid-19 the Queensland government has gone on the front foot with its support for the manufacturing sector.

The government launched its very public #MakingItForQLD campaign to support the fight against COVID-19, with daily manufacturing highlights.

We have had regular media releases from the federal government but no state has done as much, as publicly as Queensland.

On the weekend Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk took to social media to provide more highlights of innovative Queensland manufacturers :

✈️ ASI – Australian Skin Institute has been providing hand sanitiser to the Royal Australian Air Force

🚿 Martin Brothers pivoting a section of their business to offer infection prevention and control services

💪 Cyborg Dynamics Engineering creating a hand sanitiser dispenser

😷 HeliMods and Arc Hardware Incubator providing protective face shields for frontline staff for Metro North Hospital and Health Service

🛏️ Active Medical Supplies assembling and installing 120 beds for aged care support

🏥 OzVader Ventilators has brought together Australian engineers to build sophisticated ventilators for frontline ICU staff

👩‍⚕️ AMEC Plastics creating components of breathing devices for face masks
