Simon Doe, a pivotal figure at the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), is embarking on a new journey as the Director of Engineering at Weld Australia after dedicating 16 years to ANFF.
His tenure included a significant role as the National Facility Manager for nine years.
At ANFF-SA, Simon was instrumental in advancing the facility’s impact on national priorities and fostering a crucial partnership with the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG).
Reflecting on his time at ANFF, Doe expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals and contribute to diverse industry sectors.
“Seeing the work done by the highly skilled people within the ANFF network to help realize complex solutions to real-world problems was quite the buzz,” he said.
ANFF CEO Jane Fitzpatrick praised Doe’s leadership, noting, “He has been a wonderful leader in our network, championing continuous improvement and staff support, which significantly added to the cohesion that makes ANFF such a success.”
In his new role at Weld Australia, Simon will continue to drive innovation and excellence in the welding industry, connecting members with vital industry, research and education resources.
