Aged care products developer and manufacturer Sleeptite has announced a partnership with buying group and retailer Peak Care Equipment, covering Sleeptite’s SIRIUS adjustable bed and accessories and its Voyager Shield mattress range.
In a statement on Monday, the Melbourne-based company said Peak Care is the first assistive technology retail group that it had given access of its entire product range to.
“Through various meetings with the Board and senior management of Peak Care, I was given great confidence that they were the right partners for Sleeptite into the aged and disability care sectors,” said Cameron van den Dungen, CEO of Sleeptite.
Sleeptite describes its SIRIUS adjustable bed as blending “clean aesthetics together with seamless clinical functionalities” and designed in Australia “following extensive consultation with occupational therapists, nurses, carers, aged care facility managers and end-users who desired a bed with both floorline capabilities (<200mm) and an advanced height function (>750mm) that didn’t compromise on style.”
The Voyager Shield mattress is made in Sydney and includes CompriShield, “a natural antimicrobial solution that delivers efficient protection against mould, mildew, dust mites and odour” to reduce factors that lead to allergies and asthma.
Brett Ferreira, Supplier Relationship Manager at Peak Care Equipment, added that its footprint of about 170 retail stores represented the largest independent buying group and retail organisation nationally in the mobility, aged care, and rehabilitation industry.
“As such, we have a responsibility to always look for opportunities to bring innovative products to market that step-change the assistive technology industry,” said Ferreira.
Sleeptite was a Top 10 Gold Award winner in @AuManufacturing’s 50 Most Innovative Manufacturers campaign this year.
