Sonnen begins li-ion exports to New Zealand

Adelaide lithium-ion home battery systems manufacturer, sonnen has begun shipping sonnenBatteries produced in the former Holden factory in South Australia to the New Zealand market.

The company announced that its systems would be available through Taspac Energy which will begin training solar technicians and customers.

As reported in @AuManufacturing news, the sonnenBatterie hybrid is a fully-integrated intelligent energy storage system that includes a solar inverter.

The system now includes a feature called sonnenProtect, which isolates a storage system during a mains power blackout so households can get backup for essential power circuits.

Black Start is a second new feature that allows homeowners to recharge their batteries with energy produced by their solar panels without a grid connection.
