Star Combo Pharma has expanded its Sydney milk powder facility to meet orders for its growing business in the neutraceuticals sector.
The company has installed three new ‘blend and pack’ lines to manufacture high-value formulated products, infant formula, whey protein, weight loss and protein powders.
The new lines have the capacity to produce 5.5 million tins per annum, with the first purchase order already received from a client for 20,000 units of colostrum milk powder.
The company has export permits for the products and local TGA approval.
Star Combo CEO Su Zhang said: “The milk powder market continues to be a growing sector and we expect demand for Australian made products to continue to grow.
“This new manufacturing capability also has synergies with our existing e-commerce platform AustoYou.
“Clients with milk powder products can not only manufacture with us, but also distribute products via our retail touchpoints.”
Star Pharma is a contract manufacturer and also sells under its own brands.
The AustoYou portal sells more than 3,000 products for 80 Australian manufacturers, including in China.
