Suba Engineering launches new 360 degree microscope

Production equipment supplier and manufacturer Suba Engineering has launched a new 360 degree vision version of its SubaScope visual inspection device.

The SubaScope 2020 360 deg vision product, the latest in a range of locally made tools including optical microscopes and laser markers for electronics production, allows visual inspection of a product from all angles.

Suba owner Heinz Zimmermann said: “The response from the customers was really great and in two weeks we sold two months of production.

“Having a perfect digital vision allows you to do many things with the information…it is the way into the future.”

The new device has WiFi picture and video taking capabilities and incorporates Suba’s digital microscope with auto-focus which is adjusted by a mouse click.

The addition of a high definition monitor makes it easy for many people looking at the same item unlike a optical microscope.

Suba is best known as an importer and integrator of production equipment, but Zimmermann has been on a mission to add locally developed products to his offerings.

His strategy is to utilise off the shelf products such as digital cameras and combine them in novel ways with elements produced on Suba’s own 3D printers.

Zimmermann said: “My dream and vision is to also be a manufacturer of equipment.”

Suba’s new Australian products are exported including to the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore and Thailand.
