23rd consecutive month of growth for Australian manufacturing

It’s the first weekday of the month, which means the Ai Group’s Performance of Manufacturing Index results are out. It’s more good news for Australian manufacturing, according to the PMI, which was up 4.7 points to 56.7. The 23rd straight month of expansion is the best unbroken run of growth since 2005. Every sub-index and five of eight sub-sectors were in expansion.
