The voyage of the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance – video

By Matthew Neagle of the Naval Shipbuilding College

Congratulations to the more than 5500 dedicated workers from the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance team who have contributed to the success of the Air Warfare Destroyer Program.

Three great ships, HMAS Hobart, HMAS Brisbane and the soon-to-be HMAS Sydney (pictured) are the result. Hobart has just been accepted into the RAN.

Thirteen years of challenging and cutting edge work has culminated in a world class Australian capability.

The Royal Australian Navy and defence industry community should be proud of this achievement and be confident in the future.

Together we will continue to develop an Australian industry, supported by Australian businesses and Australian workers, developing meaningful careers for generations to come.
