Cold spray additive manufacturing company Titomic has announced the appointment of Dr Patricia Dare to lead its defence and aerospace efforts in the United States.
In a statement on Tuesday, the company cited the new hire as part of its emphasis on expanding into the defence sector, particularly within the US, and said Dare’s experience would aid in this.
It follows notable developments including sale of a Titomic Kinetic Fusion System (TKF System) to US-based venture business Triton Systems for approximately $1.2 million and a similarly-sized sale to Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center of a custom-built high-pressure cold spray system.
“I am thrilled to team up with Titomic at a time when cold spray is emerging as a viable manufacturing, coating, and repair technology for the Aerospace and Defence sector,” said Dare.
Titomic Managing Director Herbert Koeck added: “I am delighted that Patricia has agreed to work with Titomic and spearhead our US Aerospace and Defence efforts.
“She has a proven track record in building critical relationships and delivering mission-critical projects to the Defence and Aerospace sector.”
Dare is a PhD in chemistry and has held roles including numerous management and engineering leadership positions at Honeywell, Huntsville Site Executive for Raytheon Technologies’ Strategic Deterrence Systems, and Business Development Director and Director of Integrated Planning and Schedule for Boeing.
