Coronavirus uncertainties have hit the operations of even @AuManufacturing news.
@AuManufacturing, the Australian Manufacturing Forum and Realise Potential have decided to postpone the start of our Industry 4.0 Workshops.
While there were more than 125 serious inquiries for the event – timed for March 31 in Norwest, Sydney, members expressed concern about the viability of an all day meeting as the crisis unfolds.
Norwest is close to the Sydney epicentre of coronavirus infections at Epping.
John Broadbent of Realise Potential, who was presenter of the event entitled – getting the rubber to hit the road – said he was disappointed at the result.
Broadbent said a keynote presentation he was scheduled to make in Melbourne on Friday this week had also been cancelled.
He said: “The event (on Friday) was cancelled because of a global directive from the United States.
“It seems there is a growing caution about people convening together.”
The event will be rescheduled for later in the year.
Broadbent said: “Nothing has changed about the importance of the event.
“The world of manufacturing is being disrupted by digital transformation and only those that see it as an opportunity, rather than a problem, will thrive.”
