On the eve of International Women’s Day @AuManufacturing and our partner Hargraves Institute have launched a special programme for female team leaders and managers in regional manufacturing.

We are offering readers and members an educational programme focussed on equity and equality in manufacturing firms in the regions.

This interactive learning program (two sessions per week for 4 weeks) is designed to develop your leadership skills so you can make your workplace both more inclusive and more productive.

It will run 4 times, in May, June, July and August 2022, and will be facilitated by Hargraves Principal Consultant Tess Julian from Bookham (near Yass) in NSW.

Michelle Marcelo, Sydney Airports Corporation: “This course…allows you to look at yourself and your practices to discover how to best use your strengths and meet your purpose.”

This programme is not about changing women, it’s about changing the system. It focusses on how to make change happen and create an inclusive workplace.

The Women @ Work program consists of 8 x 90 min modules across four topic areas delivered virtually over 4 weeks:

  • Module 1: Developing an Innovation Mindset
  • Module 2: Building collaborative teams
  • Module 3: Overcoming barriers for women
  • Module 4: Leading change with confidence

At the end of this programme, participants will be able to create opportunities and pathways for themselves and others.

Kasey Richmond, corporate counsel, MNF: “It made me realise we are all innovating whether we know it or not, and that diversity contributes to that innovation process in a positive and impactful way”

Participants will leave with:

  • A method for building innovation and change
  • Practical tools for creating inclusive and diverse teams
  • Strategies for overcoming barriers to career progression
  • A career plan which builds on your strengths, values and interests
  • And a network of inspired and supportive women.

We are offering a 50 per cent reduction in the cost of programme scholarships to all candidates who meet requirements. The normal program is valued at $1,800 per person, so recipients only pay $900.

Full details of the program and a program brochure can be found here. Act now and you won’t miss out.
