Applications are open for grants assisting new recycling projects in regional and remote NSW, with between $10,000 and $1,000,000 available in state-federal funding per project.
It is the second round of funding in NSW under the program, which is joint-funded by the NSW (through Remanufacture NSW) and federal government (through its Recycling Modernisation Fund).
The total funding pool for this round is $7 million, and grants may cover up to half of a project’s cost.
“Round one grants included some great rural and regional initiatives, including an end to end plastics manufacturing plant in Taree and a glass MICROfactorie facility at Shoalhaven,” said NSW environment minister and treasurer Matt Kean in a statement on Monday.
Grants are open until 5pm (AEDT) on Monday December 6. More information can be found here.
