Cold spray additive manufacturing business Titomic has launched a UK subsidiary.

According to an ASX statement from the company on Monday, it has received a certificate of incorporation for Titomic UK Limited, marking “a key milestone in Titomic’s global growth strategy”.

It named Les Gregory as Vice President for Business Development in the UK, where he will assist expansion in that market across sectors including aerospace, defence, energy and infrastructure.

The new subsidiary will serve as a regional hub for delivering protective coatings, structural repairs, and additive manufacturing of components, Titomic said.

“The launch of Titomic UK Limited and the appointment of Les Gregory are major steps forward in our global mission to redefine the boundaries of additive manufacturing,” said Titomic CEO Jim Simpson.

“We are excited to bring our proven technologies and solutions to the UK, to  help partners solve problems more efficiently, sustainably, and cost-effectively.”

Titomic completed a $50 million placement last week.

Titomic was established in Melbourne in 2014 to commercialise technology developed at the CSIRO, and listed on the ASX in 2017.

Recently it began describing itself as “a leading American manufacturing company specializing in large integrated solutions for industrial- scale metal additive manufacturing, coating, and repairs”, with a “Huntsville, Alabama Head Office, as well as through local presence in the Australia and Europe.”
