ADA NZ, Bodd announce partnership

Scanning technology company Bodd and uniform provider Australian Defence Apparel New Zealand have announced a new partnership.

Bodd has developed scanners able to capture data from users and convert this into a variety of insights, with a current focus on uniform, retail and pharmacy/wellness markets. Its contract manufacturer is Bosch Australia Manufacturing Solutions at Clayton, Victoria.

According to a statement on Monday, the ADA NZ/Bodd partnership will “revolutionise total apparel management systems” and enable “instant sizing across the entire defence catalogue of products,” which are matched to individual measurements.

ADA NZ is a subsidiary of uniform manufacturer ADA, the country’s biggest uniform supplier, serving military, law enforcement, healthcare, government and corporate customers.

“This revolutionary digital fitting technology allows for a seamless user experience, as it drastically reduces time required for fitting and kitting of defence personnel,” said ADA CEO Chris Dixon. 

“We are excited to be rolling this out first to the NZDF this year.”

ADA debuted its new uniform management system – enabled by Bodd – at the Land Forces expo in Brisbane last October.

Bodd Co-Founder and Chief Executive Rob Fisher said the new partnership represented one of the company’s first military deployments, and follows successful implementations at other government and protective services customers.

“With our world-class technology, we can size a recruit to an incredible degree of accuracy. From 30 to 45 seconds of scanning, they can be fitted head to toe, from combat clothing to service dress uniforms, including footwear and accessories,” said Fisher.
