Beverage company Bundaberg Brewed Drinks won the top prize at Wednesday’s night’s Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards Gala, also taking out the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages category.
The family-owned Bundaberg was founded in 1960 and is best known for its ginger beer (pictured.) It currently exports to more than 60 countries.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the 2022 Queensland Exporter of the Year impressed judges with its export volumes, product quality and continual range development.
Treasurer Cameron Dick said that the state’s exports reached a record $123 billion in the year to July, and “exceeded that of New South Wales and Victoria combined, with Queensland also contributing over 40% of the nation’s goods export growth.”
Winners (a full list is reproduced below) in the 13 categories proceed to the Australian Export Awards, which will be held in Canberra by Austrade on November 24.
