Applications are open for the fourth Australian Military Sales Catalogue, which promotes local defence products and services for sale to foreign governments.
In a statement on Tuesday from defence industry minister Melissa Price, qualifying companies were invited to be a part of the 2020 edition of the publication. Mandatory criteria are that the businesses be Australian under the Corporations Act, with an Australian industrial capability, and are export ready. It is preferable that products are already used by Defence and demonstrate a link to the Sovereign Industrial Capability Priorities.
Price said that she was with the delegation of Australian companies at the Defence and Security Equipment International trade show in London last week, and global competition within the sector was strong.
“It reinforced to me why we have a responsibility to help Australian companies unlock their full potential in the international market – and why the Government’s Defence Export Strategy is so important,” she said.
Submission details for inclusion in the 2020 catalogue can be found here. Applications close at the end of October. This year’s version, released in February, can be seen here.
