Enduraclad wins Manufacturing Business of the Year award at Sydney event

Enduraclad International has won Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Optus My Business Awards, held last Friday.

Enduraclad finished ahead of finalists including Nexba Beverages, Desert Shadow and Jehbco Silicone Specialists. Founder and managing director Jason Kell told @AuManufacturing that the award was, “just recognition of our people’s hard work and dedication displayed in developing and supplying cutting edge products and services to our clients.

“This award reflects how far Enduraclad International has progressed from its humble beginnings as a start-up just eight years ago.”

According to the Optus My Business Awards, the November 9 event at Sydney’s The Star was attended by 800 people. Enduraclad’s victory in the manufacturing category follows its win at the Telstra Business Awards last year for Western Australian Medium Business.

Kell added that this year saw Enduraclad continue to grow, including at a new Brisbane plant that has reduced lead time and cost for east coast clients.

The Henderson, WA-headquartered maker of wear plate materials was founded in 2011, and operates at four sites around Australia.

“Additional capacity in Henderson has expanded capacity and our move into locally manufactured raw materials has given us shorter lead time on input materials,” he said.

“We continue with product innovation and to engineer the business to drive down cost, lower lead times and improve delivery performance. This year these business improvements have helped us to win major long term contracts with key clients.”
