Robotic technology company FBR has demonstrated its next generation Hadrian X block laying construction robot.
The massive updated robot completed its first outdoor test build in Perth, Western Australia (pictured).
The new generation machine is tablet-controlled and is equipped with a 32-metre telescoping boom capable of handling blocks up to 600mm x 400mm x 300mm.
FBR took to social media and said: “A new shuttle delivery system maximises speed and reliability and allows new blocklaying functionality.
“The modular architecture of the next-generation Hadrian X allows for quick change out of parts for continuous operation and customisation to project requirements.
“(And) a special construction adhesive is used in place of mortar, allowing for continuous building and improving the strength of the walls.
Liebherr-Mischtechnik GmbH and FBR are jointly industralising and commercialising Hadrian X, which has completed numerous building projects in Australia and internationally.
FBR also has operating a wall-as-a-service business, Fastbrick, in partnership with construction building products group Brickworks Building Products.
Fastbrick Americas LLC – the US operating entity – was established arlier this year, and FBR was featured in a showcase of West Australian innovation at Expo 2020 Dubai.
