Fleetwood delivers three modular homes for WA

Manufacturing News

Three new modular homes have been built and installed by Fleetwood Building Solutions at Manjimup, 300 kilometres south of Perth.

According to a statement from the WA government, which funded the project through housing and homelessness measures, each of the buildings is two-bedroom and one-bathroom and will be available for seniors’ accommodation early next year.

The value of the contract was not given in the release.

“It’s brilliant to see another three modular buildings progressing in Manjimup and, more importantly, these new homes will provide safe, affordable, and secure housing to the most vulnerable members of the Manjimup community,” said state housing minister John Carey.

The homes were each built to the Gold Standard for seniors’ accommodation.

MLA for Warren-Blackwood, Jane Kelsbie, added that more affordable, safe, and secure housing is integral to regional town centres.

“I am proud to have advocated for these new social homes that will provide much needed housing to seniors in the Manjimup community,” added Kelsbie.

Fleetwood Building Solutions is a division of Fleetwood Australia, and designs, manufactures, supplies and installs modular buildings. It manufactures at sites in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
