Plant-based food manufacturer Forbidden Foods has reported sales of $577,857 for the first two months of the calendar year, a 147 per cent increase on the corresponding period in 2024, as the company beds down its acquisition of Oat Milk Goodness (OMG) last September.

In a statement on Monday, the ASX-listed company said the news followed a 104 per cent jump in sales in the last quarter of calendar year 2024, which included a monthly record of $500,000 for November.

It added that this consolidated a positive trend following the OMG buy, with further growth tipped via expected distribution deals. partnerships.

“With the execution of our multi-brand strategy, we are building a different business defined by a larger, complementary product range and expanded distribution footprint – changes reflected in the 147 [per cent] uplift in sales on the prior year comparative period,” said CEO Alex Aleksic.

“We look forward to providing further updates on our growing retail sales footprint as discussions with retail partners continue over the  coming weeks.”

Upcoming activity includes discussions with major retailers – following stocking agreements with Woolworths and Ampol announced in CY2024 – in the Australian market to broaden its footprint, and targeted marketing campaigns this year, led by a brand ambassador partnership with the Melbourne Mavericks netball team and running April to July.
