Dean of Engineering Professor Elizabeth Croft cited the UP-Link collaboration space as an important boost to manufacturing’s recovery post-Covid-19.
“Internationally-competitive manufacturers must constantly innovate to improve quality and efficiency. This new collaborative platform will create a pipeline of ideas and talent, de-risking new investment in equipment and personnel, and ensuring future success,” she said.
VHESIF was announced in response to the pandemic, and support under the program has been announced for a “Manufutures2” startup hub at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds campus, a Digital and Bio Innovation Hub at La Trobe, and other facilities.
