Nominations are open for the second Circle Awards AUS & NZ, designed to recognise “businesses, organisations, and individuals taking positive steps” through circular economy efforts.
Winners across 14 categories will be announced on October 18, as part of the Purpose 2022 conference. The event will be presented by TMRRW and newly-announced partner Polestar, a Swedish-headquartered maker of electric vehicles which announced in February that it was seeking Australian companies to join its Polestar 0 project to make a “truly climate-neutral” car.
“We are delighted to partner with The Circle Awards AUS & NZ in 2022 to celebrate businesses of all shapes and sizes, taking positive steps towards a future in which the planet, its people and economies can all thrive,” said Samantha Johnson, Head of Polestar Australia.
“These are more than just awards, one of our major goals is to build a passionate community for environmental and social impact, and foster a culture of collaboration and collective action,” added Nick Hoskin, Founder of TMRRW and The Circle Awards.
“By doing this we inspire businesses and individuals to do and be better, for our communities and the environment.”
The first awards attracted 200 entries and more than 11,000 public votes, according to the event organisers.
Submissions for the awards (categories are reproduced below) close on September 20.
