Manufacturing News

Finalists have been announced for this year’s Queensland Export Awards, which will be held on October 5 at RNA Showgrounds.

Thirty-four companies made the state finals across 13 categories, with these announced at an event at boat builder Riviera. Riviera was last year’s state and then joint Australian champion (tied with castings company A.W Bell) in the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials category.

State trade minister Cameron Dick said, “Queensland is an export driven economy. “The value of our exports has almost doubled in the year to May 2022, to a remarkable $115 billion.

“These businesses are part of that, and their drive and ambition showcase how Queensland succeeds in business around the world every day.”

Each category winner at the Queensland (and respective state and territory export awards) will proceed to the Australian Export Awards, to be held in November.
