Adelaide-based REDARC Electronics has released its new REDARC Lithium Adventure Batteries (REDLAB) for four-wheel-drive and outdoor travel enthusiasts, available in 100Ah, 200Ah, and 300Ah models.
In a statement on Tuesday, REDARC described the range as rated IP67 construction (completely dust-tight and able to withstand immersion in up to a metre of water for 30 minutes), having 100 per cent usable capacity, offering 6,000 charging cycles, being IEC 62619:2022 certified, and offering “total confidence for travellers who go well beyond the beaten track.”
“We pushed these batteries through some of the harshest testing in Australia to make sure they’re as tough, safe, and as reliable as the REDARC name promises,” said Albert Atkins, Product Manager at REDARC Electronics.
“Every REDLAB battery is built to earn that red top, when people see it, they know they can trust it.”
The release added that the three batteries in the range are:
* Icon100 (100Ah) – Ideal for compact setups and capable of running a 1000W inverter.
* Icon200 (200Ah) – Designed for medium off-grid systems, powering up to a 2000W inverter.
* Icon300 (300Ah) – The powerhouse of the range, supporting a 3000W inverter from a single battery.
The company announced completion of stage one of its Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub at Lonsdale last month, where it plans to create 200 new jobs by 2032, driven by its Defence & Space division.
