Manufacturing News

Battery energy storage systems (BESS) company RedEarth Energy Storage has announced that its BlackMax product has received Clean Energy Council approval.

RedEarth said the product was the first Australian-made, off-grid BESS to be listed with the CEC.

“It is the first Australian made; integrated battery energy storage system designed exclusively for the off-grid market,” added the company’s Head of Engineering, Jeremy Whaley.

The product is designed to be suitable for daily power use needs ranging from 2kWh to more than 10kWh. It includes a lithium battery, solar PV charger, inverter, AC rectifier, controls and software.

RedEarth manufactures at Brisbane. It has been a CEC-approved retailer since December 2020, and has had other products including its 48 volt DC battery earn CEC approval.
