Perth luxury shipbuilder Silver Yachts has begun construction of two SpaceCat luxury catamaran yachts.
With a unique design by naval architect and designer Øino, the 36 metre SilverCat Series offers style, space, performance, and value that is exclusive in the market, according to the company.
Best known for its large single-hulled super yacht designs such as the 85-metre MY Bold, 77-metre Silver Fast or 85.3-metre Wanderlust, the SpaceCat series is billed more as a villa on water.
Silver Yachts hull 801 (H801) MY SpaceCat was completed in October, 2022. Silver Yachts has began construction of H802 under contract with H803 also being built to specification in the company’s Australian Shipyard (below).
The vessels are fitted out with luxury interiors.
The catamaran hulls allow large living space, with large windows and easy access to large outer decks.
Also featured is a 5.5-metre by 2.8-metre pool on SpaceCat’s main deck aft.
Silver Yachts has also established a central agency sales agreement with Sydney yacht brokerage Fraser Luxury Yachts to promote H803 to a wider audience.
According to Silver Yachts: “We are impressed and confident in Fraser’s belief in our SilverCat series, their experience, reputation, and vast network, which sits perfectly with our Silver Yachts brand.”
Director of Fraser Australia Peter Redford said the 36-meter SilverCat was one of the most exciting projects available under construction in today’s market.
Redford said: “Designed by Espen Øino, the elegance and extensive volumes are a perfect combination for potential owners searching for performance, stability and comfort.
“With changing trends and requirements in yachting, Silver Yachts has been the leading luminary in bringing to life new designs.
“Hull 803 will be shortly ready for delivery, a unique opportunity to personally customise and create a timeless, luxurious yacht with unparalleled quality.”
Silver manufactures at shipyards at Henderson, Perth and Jiangmen, Guangdong Province in southern China.
Built in 2005, Silver Yachts’ state-of-the-art Henderson facilities cover over 6,000 sqm and are home to two building halls, a fit-out hall, an interiors division, design offices and workshop spaces.
The Chinese yard is spread over 8,000 m2 and can construct vessels of 100 metres and 2,000 tons.
