Tasmania launches free Export Essentials Program

Manufacturing News

The Tasmanian government launched its Export Essentials Program this week, which it says will “help trade uplift” by equipping the state’s businesses with the skills, strategies, and confidence to reach the mainland and interstate markets.

The free, self-paced program offers two courses, a National Exporter Program and an International Exporter Program, with four and six modules respectively.

The International Exporter course is for companies who are currently exporting and who “are looking to expand or increase their international exports.” It comes with “two 30-minute individual mentoring sessions with experienced export advisors.”

Participants completing the international-level course “may also become eligible to apply for Austrade’s Export Market Development Grant,” according to a statement from premier Jeremy Rockliff (pictured.)

Rockliff added: “Exporting fuels job creation, sales growth, and profitability—this initiative ensures Tasmanian businesses are equipped to compete and succeed on the global stage.”
