Australian Made urges Australians to meet their makers through new video series

The Australian Made Campaign has released a new series of short-form videos featuring several of the country’s manufacturers, aiming to “celebrate Australia’s diverse and evolving manufacturing sector” and some of the people and stories behind it.

The Australian Makers series features companies including frank green, Volvo Group Australia, Austanners and Jayco.

Ben Lazzaro, chief executive of the Australian Made campaign, said, “We’re highlighting the ingenuity and skill of our Australian Makers, and providing a unique insight into what goes into making a product in Australia, as well as the benefits that delivers to the wider community.”

Benjamin Young, founder and CEO of frank green, said that manufacturing in-country was essential to his company’s success. (Click here for an @AuManufacturing interview with Young from April.)

We have travelled the world, we have looked at manufacturing processes in different countries, and I just think that in terms of getting to market and getting a quality product out into that market on a daily basis, it is fundamental for us to be Australian-made,” said Young.
