EOIs open for $70 m renewable hydrogen funding round

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency is accepting expressions of interest in its $70 million Renewable Hydrogen Deployment Funding Round.

The round will support “two or more large scale renewable hydrogen projects, with electrolysers of a minimum of 5 MW capacity, with a preference for 10 MW or larger.” The electrolysers must be powered by renewable electricity.
“With this significant investment we expect to take the sector to the next level. We’ve supported a range of feasibility studies and pilot projects over the past two years, but now we need to start the journey of producing hydrogen at scale,” said ARENA CEO Darren Miller in a statement.
EOIs can be made here and the deadline is May 26th. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to make a full application later this year.
