Manufacturing News

Pure Hydrogen Corporation has announced the sale of a hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) vehicle to Heidelberg Materials Australia (HMA), with the new agitator truck scheduled for delivery in Q4 2025.

According to a statement from Pure on Tuesday, the T30-200 HFC truck from its majority-owned subsidiary HDrive International has a range of over 200 kilometres and a top speed of 100 kilometres per hour. Its agitator runs on a 58 kilowatt hour traction battery from CATL, and the 200 kilowatt HFC from Ballard provides “a sustainable, high-performance energy solution”.

Pure Hydrogen’s CEO Scott Brown said the purchase order on the truck “is a powerful example of how we are reshaping the heavy-duty transport sector, offering a future-proof solution that combines advanced technology, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency.

“We look forward to delivering this groundbreaking vehicle and continuing to expand our  footprint.”

HMA (which was known as Hanson Australia until last November) is part of the Heidelberg Materials Group, a multinational integrated manufacturer of building materials and solutions.

HMA CEO Phil Schacht said, “This trial of hydrogen fuelled agitator trucks has the potential to reduce our transport related emissions and provide valuable insights into the feasibility of integrating such technology into our fleet management.”

According to its website, HMA operates 210 concrete plants, 71 quarries, four asphalt plants, five recycling plants and one landfill site in Australia.

The HFC truck announcement follows an agreement with logistics business TOLL Transport announced in January for sale of two Taurus 70-tonne hydrogen fuel cell prime movers.
