Manufacturing News

Packaging and recycling company Visy has announced that it has acquired privately-owned hardware and storage products supplier Zenexus.

The amount paid for Zenexus was not given, but Visy said it would add approximately $170 million to annual revenues, with the business and all 160 staff at Zenexus to be migrated into the Visy Retail Services division.

Executive Chairman of Visy, Anthony Pratt, said on Monday that, “The purchase will allow Visy to join our sister company Pratt Industries in the US with a dedicated, retail-facing business unit called Visy Retail Services.”

Zenexus owns brands including Wrap & Move, RackIt and FlexiStorage, and its products are sold through Bunnings in Australia and New Zealand and HomeBase in the United Kingdom.

The company’s Managing Director Rodney Sutton will join Visy Retail Services as General Manager, with an initial focus will be transitioning Zenexus into Visy.

Visy has a workforce of more than 7,000 and operates across 120-plus Australia, New Zealand and Thailand sites, with additional trading offices across Asia, Europe and the USA.
