AML3D appoints new CFO

Manufacturing News

ASX-listed additive manufacturing technology company AML3D has announced the appointment of Hamish McEwin as its new chief financial officer.

McEwin is a chartered accountant with “25 years in accounting, finance and senior management roles.”

He was most recently CFO at ASX-listed manufacturer Legend Corporation. McEwin replaces Ben Hodgson, who is moving into a newly-created commercial manager role.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr McEwin to our leadership team at AML3D. His extensive financial experience in manufacturing is an excellent addition to the AML3D team,” said managing director Andy Sales in a statement.

Adelaide-based AML3D was established by Sales in 2014 and listed in April last year. Its core technology is wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) equipment and software, combining robotics and welding.

WAAM creates large-format near-net shapes out of welding feedstocks, and AML is applying this in marine, mining, defence and other markets.

Its commercial offerings include its Arcemy machines and software and contract manufacturing services.
