Following last week’s hearings in Hobart, the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Resources heads to Melbourne to listen to witnesses including Pact Group, Australian Dairy Products Federation and Food Frontier on Wednesday.
The eighth public hearings in the inquiry into food and beverage manufacturing will run from 9:00 a to 2:30 pm (AEST) at the Parliament of Victoria.
“The Committee has held multiple public hearings across the country to find out more about what it is like to be an Australian food and beverage manufacturer,” said Committee Chair Rob Mitchell in a statement on Monday.
“At this final interstate hearing, the Committee looks forward to continuing to hear from local manufacturers, as well as stakeholders from the academic, health, and recycling & packaging sectors.”
The committee began its work following a reference from federal industry minister Ed Husic in March, and follows the committee’s Driving advanced manufacturing in Australia report, delivered in November last year.
