XTEK’s HighCom Armor subsidiary has dispatched the fifth tranche of a major order, worth $US 33.21 and announced on May 27, for specialist armour products
In a statement to the ASX on Wednesday morning, the company said the “transformational” order to the unnamed customer was now 80 per cent realised. It is expected to be delivered in full before the end of September.
The most recent tranche is worth $US 4.4 million.
“Our HighCom Armor team have done a tremendous job of maintaining the manufacturing and delivery tempo on this very important contract for the business,” said XTEK Group CEO Scott Basham.
“The business continues to expect that we will complete the production and shipment of the remaining tranche of the contract, worth US$6.6m, by the end of September.”
The armour is being produced at a Columbus, Ohio factory.
XTEK Group is made up of XTEK Ltd and HighCom, which XTEK acquired in 2019, and operates in two separate divisions: ballistics and technology. The former is based on the HighCom brand, and produces body armour, helmets, and composite armour structures.
The company operates Australian sites in Canberra and Adelaide.
